A group of climate scientists are given a crash course in astrology and run a circus marquee where they offer future predictions to the public for free. 

THE FUTURE AS SEEN BY SCIENTISTS ... invites us to take part in an event that tests our mettle in the face of a future predicted with certainty. 

THE FUTURE AS SEEN ... also sets the real climate emergency into the current social climate of 'fake news' to interrogate competing narrative structures, especially non-scientific ones, that we choose when it comes to judging facts. 

The deeper thrill lies in the carnivalesque inversion of the normally rational and sober scientific discourse, its veracity and authority, that plays with, and thus unmasks our deep fears behind common reactions to the climate crisis.

'Are we on the brink of extinction or are we building something entirely new? Are we becoming active changemakers? Or will we falter in the face of a certain fate written in the stars? “

And if our answer is: "Yes, we will meet the challenge of this already predicted future" what can we do? Advisors and activists in the neighbouring tent are on hand to offer advice and invite us to act. For it’s not in the stars to hold our destiny but ourselves …
